Congratulations Jessica Jones on being awarded the 2020 Mart Stenzel Staff Dedication Award
In an especially disconnected year, HR Generalist, Jessica Jones, is recognized for her ability to bring enthusiasm and friendship to the workplace.
Since 2017, the University of Michigan Department of Aerospace Engineering has annually highlighted outstanding staff service with the Mart Stenzel Staff Dedication Award. The award is meant to commemorate Mart’s love for our department, his work ethic, and his inclusive and welcoming personality by recognizing a staff member that embodies his spirit.
This year’s recipient is our HR Generalist, Jessica Jones. Jess was awarded for her stellar organizational skills, her effort to welcome new staff, her considerate personality that makes her colleagues feel included, and her responsible handling of difficult tasks. It was noted that she is always friendly and warm, even through Zoom, which is hard to do.
The Stenzel Award recipient is selected by the Martin Stenzel Award Committee (Ken Powell, Chair). Past Stenzel Award recipients include Kristin Parrish (2019), Terry Larrow (2018), and Tom Griffin (2017).
